Andrew Riches is Head of Medical Science and Human Biology at the University of St Andrews. His research centres on the study of cancer in humans and methods of treatment, especially radiation. His main areas of interest are molecular mechanisms of growth control in haematopoiesis, leukaemogenesis and human carcinogenesis, breast cancer risk, prostate cancer risk, and radiation carcinogenesis.
